Fall into Adventure 🍁
October brings cooler weather, colorful trails, and new opportunities for Scouts to serve and grow. As school settles into routine, our Troop calendar is picking up with exciting activities—bike rides, service projects, and fall fun. Thanks to all families for helping your Scouts stay engaged and prepared!
Upcoming Meetings & Key Dates 🗓
- Troop Meetings: Mondays, 7:00 PM at Sharon United Methodist Church
- No meeting October 13 (Indigenous Peoples’ Day)
- October 4: Fair Clean Up at the Carolina Classic Fair
- October 6: Regular Troop Meeting (advancement + patrol activities)
- October 11–12: Fall Creeper Trail Bike Trip 🚲
- October 18: Lewisville Special Recycling Event ♻️ — service opportunity (9:30 AM–2:30 PM, David McKee St. by Shallowford Square)

Scout Safety Moment 🦺
With days getting shorter, visibility and preparedness are key. Encourage Scouts to:
- Bring a headlamp or flashlight to evening activities.
- Wear reflective gear if walking at dusk.
- Stay hydrated and layer clothing for cooler mornings and evenings.

Thanks for helping in the Lewisville Special Recycling Event on October 18, Troop 719!
Shalloween Festival🎃 Saturday, October 25, 2025 | 1:00–2:30 PM | Shallowford Square - Troop 719 will assist the Town of Lewisville with games for kids during the annual Shalloween Festival! This fun community event includes costumes, crafts, and activities for families. Scouts can earn service hours while helping younger children enjoy the festivities.
If it rains, the event will move to the Mary Alice Warren Community Center.
