🚨 Safety Moment: Summer Camp Smart = Summer Camp Safe
As we gear up for summer camp, safety is our top priority. Here’s a quick reminder from our Scout Safety Moment:
✅ Stay Hydrated: Drink water throughout the day, especially during hikes or activities.
✅ Protect Yourself from the Sun: Sunscreen, hats, and light clothing are your best defense.
✅ Use the Buddy System: Never wander off alone — stay with a buddy at all times.
✅ Be Fire Smart: Only build fires under supervision and follow all campfire safety rules.
✅ Bug & Plant Awareness: Bug spray is a must. Know how to identify poison ivy and steer clear!
A safe Scout is a smart Scout — let’s all commit to keeping each other safe this summer!
🎒 Basic Packing List Highlights for Camp Rainey Mountain
Don’t forget these essentials:
Refillable water bottle
Scout uniform (Class A and Class B)
Sunscreen & bug spray
Swim trunks & towel
Rain gear
First aid kit & flashlight
Extra socks (you’ll thank us later!)
10x10 Tarp

Scouts and Families,
We’re excited for another awesome summer camp, this year at Camp Rainey Mountain! This is the highlight of the year for many of our Scouts, and it’s a chance to earn merit badges, make friends, and enjoy the great outdoors. Let’s make it a safe, respectful, and fun experience for all.
See you at the swim test on June 16— and don’t forget to review your packing list and bring any outstanding paperwork!
